SHORT BIO
Dr. Ri Na is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and a faculty member of the Construction Engineering and Management (CEM) program. She completed B.S. from Chang’an University (China) and her M.S. and Ph.D. from Durham School of Architectural Engineering and Construction at the University of Nebraska. She joined the faculty at UD in 2018 and has served as the CEM program’s discipline leader for course schedule development and discipline seminar coordination. Dr. Ri Na also serves as a student advisor for CEM undergraduate students.
Dr. Ri Na’s research interest includes Building Information Modeling (BIM) and its application in sustainability, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), and high-performance building envelope. She also conducts research on infrared and aerial thermography NDE and health monitoring of civil infrastructure. Her research involves numerical simulation and infrared evaluation of the heat transfer process in building and infrastructure components. The outcomes of the research contribute to improving energy efficiency of buildings facades and sustainability of aged infrastructure.
Dr. Ri Na is a member of the American Society for Engineering Education, Editorial Board Member of Journal of Sustainable Marine Structures, and Journal of Construction Research. She also serves as a peer reviewer for the Associated School of Construction Annual International, Construction Research Congress, International Conference on Sustainable Design Conferences.
